In pigpen water driven from the forest by hooves and small hooves and seeds that sprout
the river rush through me I float tumble into dark
wake from nothing wet
As rare earth metal in air and carbon from the arse-end of a bus I drink heavy diesel
like a good cocktail it succumbs blacks my lungs
I return again more
I dream sandpaper floors in heavy grit I walk coals smouldering like challenges
but all the buildings continue to lie subdue straightjacket rules
marble brings amnesia polished concrete apathy
Take off my shoes laces hold me in death's embrace I know there's no time
soon it will be smooth perfect welcome I'll hate it while I love it
it will never love me back
